The premises were occupied by Trevor a draper, and were owned by Mrs C. J. Gatenby. The stocks of a chemist, A. McPhail, in.: the same building, and. of H. J. Greive, a. jeweller, in an adjoining building, were heavily damaged through water. . • ' The insurances are:—Thomas, £2500 on the ;stock and £SOO on the fittings, all in the -General Accident, Fire, and •Life Assurance Corporation; building, £1650 in.the New Zealand Insurance Company; Grieve's stock, £IO,OOO, divided between tile New Zealand-In-surance Company-" and the South- British; MePhail's -Btock, over £2000..
