LAWN TENNIS.
AVONSIDE CLUB. The Avonside Lawn Tennis Club's thirtysecond annual report, to be presented at the annual meeting on Thursday next, reports a successful past Beason, both in competition and socially. Negotiations are being made to purchase the section to the north of the pavilion, the contract being in abeyance pending the approval for subdivision from iho City Council. The financial statement of the club discloses an increaso in the overdraft, due to the amount of outstanding subscriptions being £67 8s 6d, compared with £2 10s last year. The treasurer has the matter in hand, and the bulk of the outstandings shonld be collected within the next month. Taking this item into account the income of the is £SO 5s 3d in excess of expenditure.
