CALL ON GUARANTORS. So few -donations have been forthcoming to lessen the loss of over £IOO incurred by Music Week in Christchurch, tha>t a call has been mad© on the thirty guarantors. Some will have to pay £2, others a slightly larger amount, to meet the deficit. The committee was anxious to relievo the guarantors of the responsibility altogether, but, although one donation was £5 and another £2 2s, the response has not been sufficient. • So ? le . oi the c °untry people who enjoy?* the concerts wirelessed from the Civic Theatre expressed their appreciation in monetary form, but of the many hundreds who listened in very tew have aided the cause so far. In Nelson Palmerston North and Auckland, Music Week was a financial success. There was a deficit in Wellington, but public subscriptions alS" 8 L to ° , Bm , all credl * balance. With the help of the guarantors, the Onmtchurch Committee expects to have the financial side of the venture straightened out very shortly
