RANGIORA HIGH SCHOOL.
MEETING OF BOARD OP GOVERNORS. The monthly meeting of the Bangiora High School Board of Governors was held on Tuesday evening. Present: Messrs C. I. Jennings (chairman), W. A. Banks, C. S. Ayers, 0. Bands, B. D. B. Smith, and the Bev. J. Farrer. The balance-sheet for the period ending September 16th, 1930, showed receipts to have been: —General account, £417 Is 8d; farm, £4580; boys' hostel, £l6 19s; girls', £l9 8s; total, £5033 8s B<L Expenditure—General, £373 7s 2d; farm, £lOlO 19s 2d; boys' hostel, £4O 16s 2d; girls', £46 3s lid. The bank credit balance is £3735 4s 2d. The secretary reported that the bal-ance-sheets for the years 1927-1928-1929 had been received from the Audi-tor-General certified as correct. The Agricultural Committee reported at length on the purchase of extra farm lands for the Farm School, and on the purchase of stock. The Committee also reported that quite a number of gifts had been received for the Agricultural School The Associated Stock Auctioneers had given a weighing-machine, Messrs Wright, Stephenson, and Co., Ltd. bad given grass seed and manures. A three-cow milking plant had been given by the McL.! Wallace Company, and a 75-gallon separator had bees promised.
Twelve head of dairy cows had been purchased. It was decided to tbank the donors of gifts. The Hostel Committee reported on the rearrangements made for the boys and giriß to dine together, thus effecting »• saving of expense. The arrangement* were working satisfactorily.
