CROQUET CLUB'S PARTY.
Tn the Cadena Tearooms on Tuesday evening, Mr and Mrs B. J. Clark gave a most enjoyable Flag "500" party in nid of the funds of the Edgeware Croquet Club. Much amusement was caused by the various raiding parties which sallied forth to return with a captured flag—or otherwise. During an interval for the presentation of prizes, Mr J. W. Beanland voiced the thanks of the club to Mr and Mrs Clark for their efforts on behalf of the funds. Prizes were won by Mrs Rundle, Mrs Yorath, Mr Bastman, Mrs H. J. Grade, Mr and Mrs D. P. Eiches. Mrs Clark wore an uncommon frock of parchment-tinted georgette and a striking bridge coat of pervenche blue velvet. Her sister, Mrs W. J. Upton (Wanganui) wore a floral georgette frock and a coat of silver lame. Among those present were Mr and Mrs J W. Beanland, Mr and Mrs W. Dalton, Mr and Mrs P. Matson, Mr and Mrs R. Rundle.
