ELMWOOD CLUB. The annual nioeting of the Elmwood Swimming Club waa held on Tuesday, Mr 8 Hollander presiding. • The annual report stated that tlio pomtion of ' tho club was satisfactory, the membership having increased to 101 financial member? during the season. Tho success of the club had been remarkable and members' had secured wins al all carnivals. Aa the members were all young the outlook seemed promising. A: the Opawa Club's carnival the club had won the Harris Cup for the clubs' championship, a 250 yards' flying squadron race, each man swimming fifty yards. . The following officers wore elected:— Patron, Mr H. Holland, M.P.; president, Mr S. Hollander; vice-presidents, Messrs J. Donnelly, C. A. Cooper, H. J. Tallin, A. K. Phillips, A. li. Wilkinson; club captain, Mr G. S. Cooper j deputy club captain, Mr H. M. S. Dawson; honorary secretary, Mi D. H. Symes; honorary treasurer, Mr S. G Honry; delegates to Canterbury Centre, N.Z.A.S.A., Messrs S. Hollander, T B. J. Donnelly, and *D. H. Symes; delegate to Sports Protection Association, Mr T. B. J. Donnolly; delegate to Royal Life-saving Society, Mr S. G. Gaylor; , management committee, Messrs F. T. Fisher and H. Gibbons; ladies' committee. Misses E. H. Jackson, -L. Forbes, and M. Garbutt.
