CRICKET.

GREEN'S CLUB. The annual meeting of Green's Orickef Club was held in the offices of T, H. Green and Co. on Tuesday evening, Mr H. W. Rogers presiding over a fair attendance. The annual report and balance-sheet showed that the club had had a lean year both financially and in the competition matches. Tho senior B ream had done fairly well, securing third place; but the junior B team had fin ished up nearly last. In moving the adoption of the report and balance-sheet, the ohairman drew attention to the large proSortion of outstanding subscriptions, and iter in the meeting it was decided to black list all past season members whose subscrip tions were unpaid after fourteen days. Mr A. Brettell, president of the club apologised for his absence on account of ill health, and a morion of sympathy and a hope for speedy recovery from his Illness was carried. The following officers were elected:— Patron Mr W. Bottrell; president, Mr , A. Brettell; vice-presidents, Messrs W. Harris, H, French, O. Melhuish, E. Peek, R. Borland, L. Ayers, W. Stanton, H. W. Rogers, B. King, 0. Allen, T. Tilleyshort. G. Duggan, W. French, G. Williamson, J. Singleton; club captain, Mr E. Kennan; hon. secretary and treasurer, Mr J. French; auditor, Mr J. Singleton; committee, Messrs H. 3. Watts. F. Pitt, F. Warr, R. Clegg, E. Keenan; delegate to Suburban Cricket Association, Mr F. Pitt. The subscription was fixed at 255, to be paid by five monthly instalments, commencing on Ootober Ist. The securing of a wicket and the arrangements for opening day were left to the committee. It was decided to record the club's appreciation of the services <of Messrs J. French, H. French, "and Messrs T. H. Green and Co. LANCASHIRE V. THE REST.
