1931 BRITISH INDUSTRIES FAIR.

"GREAT BRITAIN'S SHOPWINDOW." The next British Industries Fair now an important annual event—will take place in London and Birmingham from February • 16th to 27th, 1931. Already recognised as the world's largest national trade exhibition, next year's Fair will be greater than ever, especially as it will coincide with the Cotton Textile Exhibition at London on February ICth to 28th, and the Drapers' Organiser's Artificial Silk Show on February 16th to 21st. Every class of trade and commerce will be represented at the Fair, and the iiuest and most modern examples of British ski]J, quality, and value in manufacture will be shown in almost bewildering array. As before, the London taction will occupy Olympia, and the Birmingham section will be exhibited at Castle Bromwich. With the public mind focused on Imperial affairs and British trade as never before—on account of the Imperial Conference and the existing tariff situation—buyers and business men generally will realise the benefits of making a personal inspection of what the manufacturers of Great Britain havo to offer. The industries of the Old Country are being steadily rationalised, and modernised in every respect, so that Home manufacturers are in an exceptionally favourable position to cater for »ew Zealan d requirements. On the eve of his recent departure lor London, the Prime Minister of New Zealand (the Hon. G. W. Forbes) said- — \\ e realise that on the prosperity of treat Britain depends the prosperity of this country ... So it is necessary to do everything we can to stimulate trade with the Old Land so that when vre do trade there they can pay us back with their manufactured goods." That is one important factor," but the iNew Zealand merchant and trader will find many other worth-while reasons for combining business and pleasure" bv visitmg the 1931 British Trade Fair J-hose intending to do so should make early arrangements for their journey.
