BUSINESS FOR TO-NIGHT'S MEETING. Power supply matter* will oome before to-night's meeting of the City Council and will be discussed as the outcome of a report to bo submitted by the Council's Electrioity Committee. The matters to bo dealt with include: Erection of pavilion and conveniences in Richmond Domain. Consideration of letter from tlia Port and City League asking the Council to take steps to secure that the Estuary be vested in the Citv of Christ-church and requesting the Council to submit loan proposals for a deep sea port for Christchureh situated at the Estuary, tuch -proposals to be submitted at the municipal elections in May, 193 L Purcliasp of new clock for Jubilee Clock Tower. Arrangements for maintenance of city organ. Purchase of land for widening Retreat road. Consideration of Bicc&rton Borough Council's applications for a refund of rates from tlie Christchureh Drainage Board. Tenders will be considered for the supply an d delivery of underground cable. Erection of three sub-station build- ! in®. Electricity Committee's report in , connexion with power supply. Reconstruction of Ferry road. Consideration of Cr. Thacker's notioe of motion with regard to the prohibiting of parking of vehicles in certain > streets in the traffio area. A letter from the Health Week Committee asking the Council to re. ceive a deputation in connexion with 1 Health jnatter*.
