Saturday was bright and sunny .and the wind -teaß south-west. Yesterday was cloudy and the wind has changed to northeast. The barometer is falling and registers . 29.85; ■ , Wellington—Saturday in Wellington was stinny with very few clouds, but yesterday was overcast. I'here was. a light northerly on both days ,• and no rain. —■ Dunedirl —-The weather was fine in Dunedin ;on Saturday-'With' more sunshine.!than cloud. The wind was light from the north-east. The .maximum temperature was 58 degrees. The barometer was steady at 29.30. Conditions were unsettled, yesterday. The sky ;is heavily clouded-with every prospect of rain. The wind is fresh from the north-eaat. The barometer fell rapidly, on Saturday night and is still falling, the reading on Sanday being 29.30. The maximum temperature was 61 degrees. ' . • .■ ; • ~ General—The antl-cyclone has -passed away eastward - and- an intense'and .extensive deprossioh. is iabying' on to the. Domipidn. Winds —Strong northerly to Westerly, reaching gale force at' many places. Sea (New Zealand waters)— Heavy on theWest Coast south of Cape Egmont; rough thence, nbrthyfrsrd and offshore south of Castlepoint. Elsewhere .moderate bat rising. Tasman Sea—-Strong' north to ' west winds to gale in the eastern Tasman Sea with rough, seas, later winds backing, to south-westerly; Weather—Cloudy, unsettled, and squally generally, with tain.in the western and southern districts. Heavy falls with some flooding on the West Coast of the South Island. Later, rain becoming more general. Thunder In places.
