OBITUARY.

MB T. R. FLEMING. (mess ASSOCIATION tilegbam ) DUNEDIN, September 14. Following on a seizure yesterday afternoon Mr T. R. Fleming, formerly Chief Inspector of Schools in tho Otago district, died to-day shortly before midday. Born at Glasgow in 1863 Mr Fleming come to Neiv Zealand in 1868. Ho studied for law, and after taking his LL.B. degree practised in Wellington. He was appointed Second Inspector or Schools in Wellington in 1890, Chief Inspector in 1901, and became Senior Inspector under the Education Department in 1915. He was transferred to Otago in 1917 ag Chief Inspector under tho Otago Board, and served until hia in 1926.
