The City Coroner enquired into the death of Henry Ballantyne, the New Aealander. who was found dead in Sydney with his throat cut. Detective Smith gave evidence that he had received a letter from Ballantyne saying that he had taken the loss of his life's savings to heart, and the only thing to do was to end his life. He had no friends here, not even' a change of clothing.
