An extraordinary tragedy was disfeloied at Meebung, when Roland Mao|feaii aged 30,. was found dead at the pfhoel of a dosed oar which had been |<dled,with poisonous fumes. The body pas-in. a sitting position, but a local student remembered having seen the |maqhine on the same spot, and the position of the body was unchanged 12 ioonrs previously. . | A police examination revealed that |the fumes issued from a piece of piping &hich was jammed through a hole in sn© flpor near the, back seat. This ®ipmg was joined to a rubber hose, the fend of which was attached to the exhaust pipe. I It is believed that Majckay was renjue«d unooitscious by a sleeping Jaranght or drugs, and met his death if?ile in that state. i» -
