SPARROW SHOOTING.

ELLESMERE GUN CLUB. Difficult conditions prevailed on Saturday, when the Ellesmere Gun Club held its annual sparrow championship at Lakeside. The light was bad, and it was impossible to sight some of the birds. . Most of the sparrows were fast and deceptive. There were 22 entries, and tho winner of the championship titla was S. M. Jackman, who had to shoot oft with W. Winchester. The match was with 15 birds, all at 21yds, and the scores were as follows:
