OBITUARY.
MR J. B. WILKIN.
Tiie death occurred yesterday at Lewisham Hospital of Mr John Barker Wilkin, second son of the late Mr Robert Wilkin. He was born in 1858 and educated at Christ's College and Jesus College, Cambridge, where he took his degree as a barrister. •He returned to New Zealand, but did not practise his profession. Subsequently ho went to Australia, where he joined the Bank of New South Wales and rose to the position of assistant manager. He then retired and returned to Christchurch. On the outbreak of the war in 1914 Mr Wilkin again joined the bank as relieving clerk, working also at this time in the interests of the Citizens' Defence Corps. REV. R. WELSH. (I'BESS iSeoaiTlOJf TttMSAV.) WANGANUI, July 21. The death is announced of the Rev. Robert Welsh, aged 60, a Presbyterian minister. He was born in Belfast and held charges at Fordell, Deniliquin (N.S.W.), Arrowtown, Opunake, and Pahiatua. He married the elf" » t daughter of Alfred Burnett, of F# deli, in 1900, who survives him. Tlw sons are Tom (Auckland), lan, Knox, and Onnond (Wanganui), and the daughters, Mrs 0. Shepherd (Auckland), Effie Welsh (Sydney), find Peggy Welsh (Wang'anui). ______
