RETURNED SOLDIERS' BOWLING CLUB.
FIRST GENERAL MEETING. The first general meeting of tho newly-formed Returned Soldiers' Bowling Club was held last evening, Mr G. A. Hay den presiding over a good attendance of members. Adoption of the amended rules ot the club was moved and passed. Officers were elected as follows: Patron, Dr. J. D. Marks; president, Mr W. E. Leadley; vice-president," Mr F. C. Carter; treasurer, Mr W. D. Graham; secretary, Mr„ E. W Smith; green superintendent, Mr G. Stephenson; delegate to Centre, Mr W. E. Leadley: committee, Messrs G Stanley, O. J. Parry, O. P. Burke, and two members to be appointed by the executive of the B.S.A. It was decided to apply to the Centre for affiliation. A motion to forward a letter of thanks to Mr Chatfield for his assistance in connexion with the laying down of the green was carried unanimously.
