Auckland—The weather was changeable in Auckland during the week-end. It was calm and fine on Saturday, and showery, with, a boisterous wind from the south-west yesterday. Th« barometer is falling, tho reading now being 28.95. Wellington—Rain fell on Saturday morning in Wellington, but not in the afternoon, and the brisk northerly helped to dry tho ground. although the skxwas overcast. Yesterday morning, also, was fine, and the sun shone, but for a very brief period, however. A strong southerly sprang up in the afternoon, and about three o'clock it brought heavy ilxowere. Although it is now dry o cold wind continues to blow. ... i, Dunedin —On Saturday morning the weather was showery, but the rain cleared off and the afternoon was fine. Yesterday was line, but cold and overcast. Forecast. General Situation —A depression crossed the Dominion yesterday and another one is advancing across the southern Tasman Be*. An anti-cyclone is covering the northern Tasman and the'whole'of Australia. Winds—Moderate to strong between southerly and westerly, of gale force at placos from Cook' Strait afterwards. Seas (New Zealand waters) —Rather rough south of Cape Egmont and Castiepoint,. elsewhere moderate. Tasman Sea—Mpderate to strong south-west winds, with rough sea in the eastern Tasman Sea. Weather —Squally and changeable, Wilh showers in most districts, heavy at places in western districts from Taranaki southwards. Cold temperatures.
