SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. Mrs E. Inman (Cattle Valley) has taken a flat in Elizabeth street for a fortnight. Mrs A. B. Guild (Temuka) spent the week-end with Miss Ziesler, Elizabeth street. Miss Mary Inman (Cattle Valley) has left for Dunedin, where she will be the guest of Mrs Bowron. Mrs A. E. Kerr ("Belmont," Cave) has taken i. flat in Elizabeth street for a fortnight. Miss M. Scott is her guest for a few days. Miss I. Washbourne (Nelson), who is the guest of Mrs F. I. Washbourn, "Wichenford," Grant's Hill, will return home to-day. Latest arrivals at the Dominion Hotel include Messrs W. Gavey (Auckland) and N. Smith (Christchurch). Passengers to the Hermitage on Saturday were Sister Jackman (Ashburton) and Mrs Barr (Ashburton). Recent guests at the Grosvenor Hotel include Miss D. -de Maus (Port Chalmerß), Messrs B. Saunders (Wellington), J. W. Buston (Christchurch), P. Mulhane (Wellington), P. Hayes (Auckland), F. W. J. May (Christchurch), 8. Harris (Wellington), and E. H. Lough (Dunedin).
WEDDINGS. ONIONS-PARKER. At St. Mark's Church, Rotherham, a' pretty evening, wedding was celebrated recently, when Doris Muriel, only daughter of Mr and Mrs J. Parker, "Konini," Rotherham, was married to Eric Gregory, younger son of Mr and Mrs G. Onion, of Te Awamutu, Waikato. The Rev. E, Blackwood-Moor, vicar of Amuri, performed the ceremony, and Miss N. Danielson was organist. The bride, who was escorted by her father, wore a frock of cream satin, made with sleeveless, semi-fitting boaiee and three-tiered skirt edged witn silver tnread falling long, at the back. tier embroidered tulle veil, which tell to the ground, was arranged on a coronet of orange blossom; and she carried a bouquet of cream and lemon hot-house flowers. She was attended by her cousin, Miss Myrtle Watts, of Palmerston North, who wore a frock of lemon lace over green georgette, with a hem. or f rilledtulle, ana a bandeau of lemon tulle, tied with a large bow at one side.' She carried a bouquet of lemon and golden flowers. Miss Helen Banks, of Rotherham, attended as flower girl, weanng a frilled frock of blue taffeta,, and » band of blue tulle in her hair. She carried a poßv of lemon flowers. Mr S. Sutton, of Palmerston North, acted «as best man ..... . .. At the reception, held later in the Rotherham Hall, Mrs Parker received her guests wearing a smart model frock of navy crepe de chine, and a navv hat trimmed with fawn astrakhan. Her bouquet consisted of golden Mrs J. Daysh. of North, grandmother of the bride, wore a frock 5f naw crepe de chine with veste© of beige georgette, and a beige hat. She carried a bouquet of lemon chrysanthemums. , ... The beautiful three-tiered wedding cake, a gift to +b« Krtfe. was made and decorated hv Mrs F. Banks. When Mr and Mrs Onion left later by car for the south, Mrs Onion was wearing li tailored suit of brown tweed, with a brown fox fur. Her smart up-turned hot was of brown felt.
