Harbour Light Theatre. "They Had to See Paris," a comedy-fea-ture starring Will Rogers, will be screened at the Harbour Light Theatre to-night, together with a song-cartoon, a comedy, and songs. On Saturday, "The Innocents of Paris." a delightful musical comedy featuring Mauriee Chevalier, -will be screened. The Mayor 111. When making his way home from the meeting of the Borough Council late on Monday night, the Mayor. (Mr W. T. Foster) collapsed after reaching the top of the gaol steps, and falling heavily, Btruck his head on the road. Cr. L. O. Matthews, who is a neighbour of the Mayor's, and was accompanying him home, immediately obtained the assistance of Mr E. W. Brown, another neighbour, and then procured Dr. B. H. Gilmour, who attended the Mayor at his home. It was found that the effect of the collapse and the fall was. fairly serious, and it was not until yesterday morning, that Mr Foster had properly. regained consciousness. The Mayor's collapse followed an unusually long, and at times, exacting meeting, but which Mr Foster had conducted with singular ability; indeed he Beemed to be in the best of health all the evening. Yesterday there were a large number of callers at the Mayor's residence in Reserve terrace to enquire-regarding his health, and expressions of sympathy and hopes for his speedy reboTery were received by the Mayoress and Town Clerk (Mr F. Hobbs) from all parts of the borough and City. Late yesterday afternoon it was reported that Mr Foster was making a good recovery, but would be confined to his home for at least a week.
