FIRES.

HOUSE DAMAGED. (PUSS 16BOCUTIOX WIJEQEUC.) NEW PLYMOUTH, July 8. * Fire at 1.30 this morning destroyed the back portion of an unoccupied house in Mangoren road owned by the Raill family. The brigade saved the front portion. The damage is estimated at £250. The house was insured for £BSO in the New Zealand Office. There was no furniture in the dwelling. A statement appeared on The Pres on July 7th to the effect that a five-roomed house at New Brighton owned by Mrs Chisnall, of St. Albans, had been gutted by fire. Mrs Chisnall disposed of the house in question about twelve months ago.
