BRICKLAYERS' AWARD.

+ (PMESB AtSOCUttOH TSI.S6B&K.) AUCKLAND, July 4. Mr Jußtice Fraeer, to the Arbitration Court, struck out the application of the Dominion Bricklayers' tJnion, to amend Clause 11 of the award, relating to the prohibition of piecework. His Honour, saying that the Court had no jurisdiction td prohibit piecework, re* marked! "To be perfectly honest, the clause appears to be a pious bluff put in by the Parties years and years ago." He suggested that the question be referred to the Members of Parliament for the district concoerned.
