RECIPROCAL TRADE.
(MUSS ASSOCIATION TELEGRAM.) WELLINGTON, July 4. Consequent on a notice in the Gazette asking for information on the subject of reciprocal trade with other countries, the Manufacturers' Federation to-day decided to write to the Minister for Industries and Comnieroe asking that .the. Federation should be heard before anything was clone and also that the Department of Industries and Commerce be asked to watch the interests of New Zealand manufacturers. • , Air F. *'• Hutchinson introduced tho matter and said he hoped the Federation would be given an opportunity oi bein<* heard. Mr Mills-Palmer: We don't want anv decrease in duties. Mr L. R. Partridge said he thought the Federation should watch very carefully anyr ; legislation the Government brought down with regard to reciprocal tiado with Australia.
