Mr G.'Mitchell,was in the chair and delegates were present from the Auckland,. Christchurch, South Canterbury, Feilding, Balmerston North, Wanganui, North Otago, Taranaki,. Hawke's Bay, and . Wellington Societies. , The following remits were carried: ."That all agricultural aiid. pastoral societies be asked to adopt a time when cows must be milked 80 as to . prevent needless cruelty." " .
