SOCIAL AND PERSONAL. | Miss Enid Jones (Otiritiri) has left to stay with her brother, Mr G. Jones (Waiau). Miss Olive Hassell ("Carshalton," North street), was the guest of Mrs E. Vincent for the week-end. Mr and Mrs R. Temple ("Dunglass," Cattle Valley), who were the guests of Mrs E. P. Chapman (Salisbury), hare returned home. Miss Patricia Ritchie (Te Tawa) has returned from a visit to Mrs R. Ritchie (Dunedin). Miss Joan Ritchie (Dunedin) is her guest for a few days. Mr and Mrs H. D. Marshall (Orbell street), accompanied by their guest, Miss Reid, matron of King's College (Auckland), spent the week-end at the Hermitage. Recent guests at the Dominion Hotel include Miss Plewcem (Htermit-. age), Messrs S. Matthews (Wellington), T. W. Andrews (Christchurch), W. Elliot (Queenstown), and J. Campbell (Christcnurch), Recent arrivals at the Grosvenor Hotel include Dr. and Mrs S. E. Crawford (Wellington), Mr and Mrs Groman and Mr and Mrs J. G. Wilson (Sydney), Mr and Mrs Gilbert Grigg (Hororata), Mias H. Montgomery (Little River), Miss I. Rutherford (Christchurch), and Mr J. A. MoVicar (Wellington).
