Members of the House of Lords today paid tributes to the memory of Lord Davidson, when special emphasis was laid upon his ability as a conciliator. The Archbishop of Canterbury, his successor in the Primacy, said: I have never known a man in whom there woe combined a greater sense of the responsibility of his office and a more humble sense of himself.
