ABILITY AS A CONCILIATOR. (BRITISH omcUL YUBEI.ESS.) (Received May .28th, 5.5 p.m.) RUGBY, May 27. Members of the House of Lords today paid tributes to the memory of Lord Davidson, when special emphasis was laid upon his ability as a conciliator. The Archbishop of Canterbury, his successor in the Primacy, said: I have never known a man in whom there woe combined a greater sense of the responsibility of his office and a more humble sense of himself.
