With the commencement of the competitions members are now taking up the game in earnest, and good attendances are the rule. Although the links generally are in good order, a heavy shower of rain wonld be beneficial to the greens. The first bogey round was won by J. 0. Templer, with a score of 1 down. Other cards handed in were: D. Foster 8- down, 8. Grut 6 down, B. B. O'Hara 7 down, R. G. Sawell 7 down. T. A. Wilson 7 doWn. Mixed foursomes (medal) will be played in conjunction with the lady members on Thursday, the 15th, and Saturday, the I.7th instant. Players are requested to arrange for their own partners. Opponents will be drawn for at 1.80 p.m. on the links. The first medal round resulted in a tie between T. A. Wilson and R. Deacon, with net scores of 64 each.
