SUSPENSION OF CYCLISTS CRITICISED. (rtSSS ABSOCUTIO* TlLEOBill.) AUCKLAND. April 29. Tho Bocretarv of the New Zealand Union of Cyclists. Mr J. 0. Stewart, this mor.ning mado the following statement concerning tho four Wellington cyclists who recently competed in Auckland, and have now been suspended by tho Wellington Centre of tho N.Z.A.A.A.:— ... The Wellington Centre has no valid grounds for disqualifying these four Wellington riders. They state that the cyclists competed at a meeting under the Manukau Amateur Cycling Club, but that is not so. The meeting in question was run by, and was under the control of the Auckland Centre of the New Zealand Union of Cyclists. This Centre *os at no time been disqualified by anyone, arid: consequently, the pretext of Amateur Athletic .Association's organisation is unfounded. The Association seems to be completely isnorant of the fact that the New Zealand Union of Cyclists is distinct from its Auckland Centre and yagain from toe ■•■%■ r— -<Bj<sv-..-.. ■--'-(_
