Lady Edward Spencer Churchill sued the Countess of Mayo, one of her best, friends, 'for four guineas' ; for" two tickets-for a hospital ball last June. , The action was undefended, and an order was made for payment within 14 days. ' '• ': "1 did it as "a warning," said Lady Spencer Churchill. VThis sort of thing is,still going on. in the neighbourhood.'' - The Countess of Mayo said: "' "Lady Spencer Churchill and myself are great friends: The money relates to two tickets I sold for a ball. Payment,, was overlooked, through sheer carelessness and pressure of public duties." -
