SEA CADET CORPS.
Two boats' crows of the Sea Cadet Corps spent an enjoyable and instructive day on the Avon ,on Sunday last. Starting from the ' Canterbury Rowing Club's shed at 10 a.m., the boats went downstream towards the mouth of the river, instruction in rowing, steering, and boatwork generally being given en route. After lunch a short service was held, concluding with the einging of the National Anthem. A very marked improvement ill rowing was shown on the return journey, especially by boys who had had no previous experience.
