AERO CLUB.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE. A meeting of the general committee of the Canterbury Aero Club was held last evening, Sir Francis Boys presiding, i'he financial statement for the period ending March 7th showed a credit balance of £9Ol lis Id in the An invitation from the Hawke's Bay Club to participate in its pageant on April,sth was received. The secretary was instructed to reply, stating that the club would send one, and if possible two, machines to the pageant. To an invitation from the Hawera Club to its pageant on April 9th the secretary was directed to reply ,in similar strain. Twelve new members were elected to the club. An account was received from an adjoining lessee to the club's land at the aerodrome for £1 18s, being the cost of one sheep and one lamb killed bv one of the club's machines. The matter was left to Captain Mercer to deal with.

Regarding the form of the testU monial to be presented to Mr F. C... ©hichester, the president reported as follows : "Being in some doubt as to the fornl which the testimonial to Mr Chichester should take, the president and secretary consulted him as to his wishes. He expressed his appreciation of the goodwill shown him by the club and the public attending the pageant, and said that he had come down to .assist the club without any thought of monetary, advantage. Such being the case, it is left to the committee 'to decide what form the testimonial should take." It was resolved to leave the matter in the hands of the president and secretary.
