UNITED FRIENDLY SOCIETIES.
MEETING OF COUNCIL. The annual meeting of the United Friendly Societies' Council was held on Saturday evening, the president, Bro. F. Coleman, presiding over 25 delegates. Correspondence was received from the exe°f the M.U., 1.0.0. F., the Loyal City of Christchurch, M.U., 1.0.0. F., the Loyal Addington Lodge, M.U.. 1.0.0. F., and the Loyal Kaiapoi Lodge, M.U., 1.0.0. F., withdrawing from the Council. T}ie pewly-elected present P.G Ero. W . B . Browne, and Bro. H. E. Morgan were appointed to wait on thoße Lodges and ask them to decision.
