SHIPPING NOTES. The Karetu is to sail to-day for Timaru, Bluff, and Sydney. The John takes in cargo here to day for Wellington, Wanganul. New Plymouth, and should arrive from Tarakohe to-morrow with cement. She loads here for Nelson, Westport, and Greymouth. The Opawa takes in cargo here on Monday for Blenheim. - The Oalra Is doe to-morrow from Bluff, Dunedin. and Timaru, and on Monday she loads for Wellington and Wanganui.

The Cygnet is due to-night from Kaikoura and Wellington, aod sails on Monday night on the return trip. The Breeze should arrive to-morrow from Wellington, and sails on Monday for Dune* din, and Timaru. She is due back on Friday to load for Wellington and Wanganui.

The Waipabi-is to land sheep from Ginborne here to-morrow. She sails for Dunedin, and is due back on Wednesday, via Oamaru and Timaru, to take in cargo for Napier and Gisborne.

The steamer June is due here on Monday from Nauru Island with phosphates, and will complete discharge at Port Chalmers.

Tfto Fox ton impacted here to-morrow, aDd will load on, Monday for Foxton. The Rotorua should arrive here on Tuesday from Wellington to continue discharge. The Gale is an expected arrival' on Tuesday from Dunedin and Timaru to load for Wellington, Picton, and 1 V/anganui. The Kaikorai is expected at Lyttelton on Tuesday to load for Auckland. The Opihi should arrive here on Wednesday from Timaru to load for Nelson and New Plymouth, sailing via Wellington. The Kanna ii due at Lyttelton about Thursday trom Westport with coal. The Progress ii timed to load here on Thursday for Wellington, New Plymouth, and Wnikato.

The Hopemont is due at Lytfelton about February 23rd from Wellington to continue discharge of benzine into the Shell Co.'a tanks.

The Holmdale is to load at Lyttelton on Friday (or Wellington and Witnganui.

The Zealandic sailed from London on February 17th for Suva, Port Chalmers, Lyttelton, and Tiniaru. She in d)»e at Fort Chalmers about March 10th.

The Westmoreland is to sail to-day for Bluff, Port Chalmers, Timarn, and Wellington. She is to sail from Wellington on March oth for London, Avonroouth, Liverpool, and Glasgow.
