AUCKLAND RETURNED SOLDIERS

Sir,—A fund of £4OOO has been raised by the Auckland Returned Soldiers' Association for the purpose of inscribing a Roll of Honour in the memorial section of the new Auckland Museum. A committee is now engaged upon the compilation of the list of all men of the Auckland military district who died on active service or as a result of wounds or disease contracted during their service. Seeing that there are bound to be numbers of ex-AucklanJers who served in the units of other provinces, in the forces of Britain, or other Dominions, or in the Royal Navy, whose names may not lie found on the Auckland rolls of Base Records, the committee invites anyone possessing information in regard to ft.iy of these men to forward it without' delay. It would be glad, indeed, for The purpose of checking existing lists. to receive information about deceased members of the Auckland units.— Yours, etc.,
