RAILWAY ACCIDENT ENQUIRY.
THE CORONER'S VERDICT.

SYDNEY, February 14,
The Coroner's enquiry into the railway accident at Warrimoo on January 27th, when the driver and fireman Were killed, has concluded. The evidence showed that the Occident was due to laxity of certain officials who left the lock off the catch points, causing the derailment. The Coroner found that the pilotman, Robert Hindmarsh, and the flagman, Alexander Gollen, were guilty of culpable negligence, and committed both for trial. Bail was allowed in a sum of £SO.
Thomas Berkley, a signalman . a,t Blaxland, was severely censured. Hindmarsh was described as a man, totally unfitted to be a pilotman. There was hardly one of his duties which he. had not properly earried out. *
