TROTTING NOTES.

Acceptances for the New Zealand Metropolitan T.C.'s Summer Meeting close on Tuesday at noon. Nominations for the Kaikoura Trotting Club's Annual Meeting close on Tuesday. When White Satin was racing at Forbury Park on Thursday she struck herself and inflicted a light wound on a hind leg. The injury is not serious, and she will be a starter to-day. The fillv was all at gea in the heavy going, and as weather conditions were anything but promising last evening, she is not likely to be so heavily supported as was the ease on Thursday. When Wrackler dislodged his driver in the Dunedin Cup he did not escape scot free, but received a cut on one of his less. This is not likely to trouble him, and he is expected to strip a fit horse to-day. A lot of rain fell in Dunedin yesterday afternoon, and the prospects for to-day's racing do not look bright. The Forbury Park track, however, drives quickly, and if the wpather clears to-day good going might be expected. A big field of IS is engaged in the Waverley Handicap, and most of the horses en paced started on the opening day. Thp winner, Ambition, and runner-up, White Satin, have been penalised and Fifa, who finished third, and has escorted a penalty, mav prove the best. Stand By and Robert Todd should also run well. In the Telegraph Handicap in saddle, Cnshla d'Or is the popular fancy, while Erin's Fortune and Roddy rmwt be considered. The Gore Handicap will find Kreisler, Wrackeen. and Morning Sun well supported, and in the Metropolitan Handicap Wrackler. Athalone, and the Sunshower-Jean McElwyn bracket 6houid be the public fancies. The Stewards' Handicap will provide a good race, and St. George, who was heavilv supported on the first day, may d-t better on this occasion. Dice and Millie de Oro should also take a hand in the finish. In bad going Nelson Ata may prove the best in the Crescent Handicap. Commander Bingen and the WriterBonnie Belmont bracket should prove the best of the others. With only six horses engaged in the Royal Handicap, Shady Spot, Mac de Oro. and Erin's Fortune look the best, and in the Au Revotr Handicap Arikitoa, Lady Cello, and Glideaway have good prospects To wind up a partnership, the pacer Audubon Chief will be offered for sale, without reserve, at Tattsrsall's yards todav.
