GENEROUS GIFTS TO FUND

WELLINGTON, January 30.
At the time of the recent visit to New Zealand of Mr W. Sampson Ilandlev the well-known London surgeon and authority on cancer, it was announced that Mrs T. Dwan, of Wellington, had generouslv jjiven £IOOO for cancer research. Mr and Mrs T. Dunn have now given an additional £~>oo to the Wei lington Division of the New Zen hi ml branch of the British Empire Cancer Campaign. Mr and Mrs Dwan have, also innmated to the president of the Cancer Campaign (Dr. J. «. Elliott) their intention to hcquealh a sum of not lens than £IO,OOO to the New Zealand branch of the Campaign. The Prime Minister has forwarded his appreciation on behalf of the Government from Kotorua.
