There was a good example of the increasing popularity of the railways as a means of transport given on Thursday when the train from the East Coast stations arrived in Napier (sav.s the "Telegraph There were rto fewer than 40 trucks and carriages attached, of which moro than thirty were filled with sheep, and the remainder timber, etc. This provides ample evidence of the manner in which tho farmers generally are taking advantage of the improved services offered for general transport.
