THEFT FROM ISLAND STEAMER. (UWITED TRESS ASSOCIATION—BT ELECTRIC TELEGRAPH —COPYRIGHT.) (Received January Ist, 7 p.m.) SYDNEY, January ]. When the Island steamer Marsina arrived at Sydney to-day, it was discovered that her registered mail bag was missing from the inside of another bag, and the whole of the registered mail from the mandated territory was stolen, the value of which is considerable. Apparently the theft was committed during the voyage to Sydney, the thief leaving iho vessel with the booty before the mails were unloaded.
