James Thomson, a carrier, of Balclutha, sustained a severe cut on the head and suffered severe injury to his neck in a collision with a motor-car on Tuesday evening. He was in a spring waggon standing up in the body of . the vehicle when it was crashed into by a car, Thomson being precipitated on to the roadway.
