The whole countryside is horrified at the appal'ing tragedy. Their parents are Mr and Mrs Graham. The father works half a mile distant and the mother had occasion to visit him. so she locked the children in the room for safety. A drover passing the house some time later saw it was burning fiercely. He made frenzied efforts to break into the hut. but the terrific heat made it impossible. Charred almost beyond recognition, the bodies of the three older children were found huddled in one corner. The body of the baby has not been recovered. No explanation of the Pre can be given.
