THE CABINET.
TO THE IDITO* O? TH» FBI S3. Sir.—The reshuffle oi portfolios in the Ward Cabinet is full of interest. The mast significant is taking the portfolio of Postmaster-General from the Hon. Mr Donald. The plausible excuse given by tiie Prime Minister that iie can take up this portfolio without difficulty because he had in years «cne by held it will deceive verv lew. What is realty happening is that he will be nominally PostmasterGeneral. while in reality the head of the- Department will "ran the show. ' which will be read a,3 meaning that ho has fallen down nt his job. It will he interesting to see whether he endures thi'; indigrnity. -Mr Sidey will fill the position of Minister lor Justice very well, but the House in session will probably noc tolerate a member of the I pper House holding this portfolio. The reshuffle is very clear evidence of the inexperience and incapacity of tho present Cabinet, r.nd one wonders how long the people will tolerate the present political farce. Members of Cabinet are guiltv of false pretences when they refer to themselves as a Government.—Yours. NOT SFA'ENTY MILLIONS. December 16th. 19'2P.
