Stricter supervision in regard* tH the use of explosive! in public works wan urged by a deputation from the New Zealand Workers' Union that waited on the Acting-Prime Minister (Hon. Mr Forbes). Applying, the Minister said there was no doubt that the large number of accidents pointed to the need for stricter unpen ision. He wanted to take the matter up with the Minister for Pubhc Works (Hon Mr K . A »»„„,,„> to me whether the position could be im proved.
