SHIPPING NOTES. There is a large amount of shipping at the wharves, and the port should be exceedingly busy to-day. The Tees arrived on Saturday evening from the Chatham Islands. She was delayed at the Islands by exceedingly stormy weather, but the trip back was made in fine weather. The Corinna arrived yesterday from New Plymouth, and is to Bail to-day for Dunedin. She is due back, via Oamaru and Timaru. on Thursday to load for Nelson, Ne\r Plymouth, Hnd Westport. The Cygnet sails to-night for Kaikoura only. and. returning early on Wednesday morning, is to be dispatched on Wednesday night for Kaikoura and Wellington. The Kurow is to sail to-day for Timaru, Oamaru, Dunedin, and Bluff. She should arrive back here on Sunday, and loads on Monday for Auckland, via Wellington. The Karetu is to sail to-day for Oamaru. Dunedin, Bluff, and Sydney. The Wairuna is expected to sail to-morrow for Dunedin, New Plymouth. Napier, and Auckland to complete discharge of her cargo from Los Angeles. The Wingatui will not call at Lyttelton on the southward trip, but is due here on Thuraday from Dunedin, Oamaru. and Timaru to load for Xapier, Gisborne, and Auckland. The Totara. en route from Timaru to Wellington and New Plymouth, called in at Lyttelton on Saturday morning for bunkers, and sailed later in the morning. The Waipiata is now due to-morrow from Auckland, Napier, and Wellington, and sails in the afternoon for Dunedin. The Kapouga should arrive here on Wednesday from Adelaide and Melbourne, via North Island ports. She sails the same day for Greymouth. The Kaituna. which was due here on the 29th, will not now call at Lyttelton. The Raimanawa is expected back from Auckland, Napier, and Wellington on December 25th, and sails on the 27th for Dunedin. The Foxfon should arrive here to-morrow from "Wellington to load for Foxton. The Mahia atrived here on Saturday afternoon from Wanganui to continue Homeward loading. The Taranaki is to sail to-day for Wellington to continue loading. The Gale was an arrival yesterday from Picton. and sails to-day for Dunedin and Timaru. The Breeze arrived at Lyttelton on Saturday afternoon from Westport with bunker coal. > The Opawa is to load here to-day for Blenheim direct. The Holmdale should arrive on Wednesday from the south to load for Wellington and Wanganui. The Manuka is due on Thursday from Melbourne, via southern ports, and sails the same day for Wellington, en route for Mel bourne. Mr A. S. Kwan. who has been on holiday leave, has joined the Kurow as chief engineer. Mr S. E. Turner left by the Ulimaroa last week for Sydney, en route to Melbourne, where he joins the Loongana as purser.
