A deep depression is located in the western Tasman. The tropical cyclone in the Fiji area is now moving away to the south-east. Present indications are for light to moderate winds, with north-east to north prevailing, and freshening: seas smooth to moderate; freshening northerly winds, and moderate but rising seas in the eastern Tasman; the weather fair to fine ar.d warm at first, but cloud increasing, and the weather gradually becoming unsettled in northern and western districts, with rain developing.
