This new armour plate will have a big influence on warship design and the mechanisation of armies. Hitherto fourteen millimetres armour was required to keep out the ordinary armour piercing bullet, but the new speciallyhardened armour plate will permit of fast, light-armoured tanks which will be able to dodge and outflank opposing anti-tank guns and also greatly save in Coßt.
