Edwin Rex Tremaine, commercial trnvellcr, was charged in the Magistrate's Court to-day with driving hit car in a dangerous manner in Newmarket on November 'JOtli. It was explained by 6ub-lu->pector .McCarthy that the case was being taken that morning m defendant was sailing tor England to-morrow. Tremaine denied the charge. "Yes." answered defendant. Mr Hunt; It's just as well. Tremaine admitted that he had driven on the wrong side of the triargle, but he was not travelling a* fast as the conitnble* stated. Speeds of motor-enrs were difficult to estimate correetlv, he said. Sub-Inspector McCarthy: Last July you were before the Court for neglii cent driving. You did.
