OTAGO UNIVERSITY SCHEME. [THZ MtESf Special Service.] DUNEDIN, November 25. Some time ago a sum of money from the Carnegie Trust Fund was granted to Otago University for extension work in home science. 1A tator-organiaer and an assistant iptorl have been appointed, who, under the directiOnf of [Professor Stroiig,\are organising and in* practical leetoring and demonstrating that they hope*, to commence next February. The object of the scheme. is' to brifeg women [together in such a - way-tbat- may discuss their problems to mutual advantage, seek information that will help them to minimise the work in their homes, and give them more leisure to devote to other, things.
The actual field work for the present must of necessity be confined to Otago, but it is hoped to jeach women all over New Zealand'by means of the Praam and by wireless.- On Wednesday next, at 3.15 p.m., the first wireless,talk.Will, be given, and will deal with \ the aima and methods of the work. . Farther talks, on domestic affairs will be froadeaaied from 4YA every Wednesday afternoon.
