LAND BOARD.

MONTHLY MEETING. The ordinary monthly meeting of the Canterbury Land Board was held in the District Lands and Surrey office, Christchurch, commencing on Wednesday, November 13th, 1929. Present: Messrs W. Stewart (chairman), D. Stowell, R. F. Henderson, E. Maodonald, and T. Gee. Altogether 51 cases were considered: nine applications to transfer ware received; nine applications for advances under the Discharged Soldiers' Settlement Act, and six applications for land. The following transfers were approved : —Pt. Ashburton Riverbed, adjoining R.S. 27683, Block XIIL, Ashburton S.D., James Ranna Reeves to Alfred Oliver Sileock; Sections 2, 5, 7, 9. 11, Chertsey township, J. Cronin to H. C. Page; Sections 2, 4, 6, and 8. Block VI. Morven township, Daniel Calahan to Timothy Crowe; Section 1, Block VIII., Morven township, Michael Edward Hanley to Timothy Crowe. . The following applications for land were approved : —Part Waihi Riverbed adjoining R.S 21427 and 10198, Robert Billings: Part Orari Riverbed fronting R.S. 4020, Block 111.. Arowhenua S.D., L. H. Trumper; Part Orari Riverbed fronting R.S. 23934. 18208, and 15385, Block XI., Geraldine S.D., Timothy Sugrue.
