NEW ZEALAND AND THE OLYMPIC GAMES.
A PLEA FOR SUPPORT. The Coun'-il of th» New Zealand Olympic Association has issued an information booklet appealing for more active support with a view to sending a representative team to the Los Angeles Games in 1932. Interested Associations and sports bodies are asked for suggestions as to the constitution of the Nevr Zealand Association, the composition of the Council, and the collection of funds for adequate representation at future international gatherings. The booklet contains a record of the performances of New Zealanders since the Dominion was first represented in 1908, and a summary of the Ancient and Modern Olympic Gaines. The main troubles the Council has met in the past have been a shortage of finance and a not very satisfactory method of selecting representatives of the various branches of sport. It hopes to re~eive sufficient support from local amateur bodies to ensure its continuance as a strong and effective organisation.
