At the same time, the Dunlop Company, realising the inconvenience to motorists caused by the present fictitious retail list prices, which afford little guidance to the purchaser, has drastically cut down trade discounts and made a further corresponding reduction in the retail list prices, which now represent the actual prices to be paid by the purchaser. From these new prices discounts cannot be expected, since the trade margin of profit does not admit of their being given.
